San Antonio runs on relationships. We start them by phone.

We call owners, plant managers and office leads from Port San Antonio to the Medical Center to the I-35 warehouses in New Braunfels, check budget and timing, and put the meeting on your calendar.

The market

A military town, a bank town and a factory town in one metro

The Census Bureau puts the San Antonio metro at 2,813,140 people as of July 1, 2025. It covers eight counties. Bexar sits in the middle, with Comal, Guadalupe, Medina, Wilson, Atascosa, Bandera and Kendall around it. New Braunfels, Schertz, Cibolo and Seguin fill in the I-35 and I-10 sides toward Austin and Houston.

Three kinds of employer set the pace. Joint Base San Antonio employs more than 82,000 people directly, according to greater:SATX. USAA runs its headquarters on the northwest side, and Frost Bank keeps its tower downtown. On the South Side, Toyota builds the Tundra and Sequoia with more than 3,700 direct employees and another 5,600 at suppliers on the same site.

That mix shapes your pitch. A lot of local companies sell to the base, the hospitals or the plant. They think in contracts, certifications and approved vendor lists. Ask a Port San Antonio subcontractor who their prime is before you ask about budget, and you will sound like you belong.

County Business Patterns counts 52,088 business establishments in the metro, and 15,581 of them have ten or more employees. In a lot of those, the owner still signs the check and has bought from the same vendor for years. One call will not move that. A second and third call from someone who knows where Brooks is might.

Where San Antonio deals get signed

Six parts of town, each with its own buyer and its own reason to talk.

Downtown San Antonio

Frost Bank's headquarters at Frost Tower, 111 W. Houston St., sits a few blocks from City Hall, the convention center and the River Walk hotels. Buyers here are bankers, lawyers, hotel managers and city vendors, and they want a short, specific reason to give you ten minutes.

South Texas Medical Center

About 900 acres on the northwest side, roughly 10 miles from downtown, with 45 institutions and 12 hospitals, including UT Health San Antonio, University Hospital, Audie Murphy VA Hospital and Christus Santa Rosa. Facilities, supply chain and practice managers here buy cleaning, staffing, IT and insurance, usually through a formal process.

Northwest San Antonio and USAA

USAA's headquarters campus anchors this side of town, close to the Medical Center. Operations and office leads out here run large daytime workforces and buy IT support, staffing and building services to keep them going.

Port San Antonio

The old Kelly Air Force Base is now a 1,900-acre campus with more than 80 tenants and more than 18,000 workers. Boeing is the biggest employer, Air Forces Cyber has its headquarters here, and defense and cyber contractors fill out the rest.

Toyota Texas and Brooks

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas has more than 20 suppliers on its South Side site and a new $531 million rear-axle plant. To the east, Brooks has turned a former air base into research, distribution and health care space, with DPT Laboratories, Mission Trail Baptist Hospital and the UIW School of Osteopathic Medicine.

I-35 north to New Braunfels

Warehouses keep going up between San Antonio and New Braunfels, like the 397,600-square-foot I-35 Logistics Center. Schertz, Cibolo, Seguin and New Braunfels sit mostly in the 830 area code, where teams are smaller and the owner often takes the call.

Calling San Antonio

Calling into 210, 726 and 830

210 and 726 cover the same ground: San Antonio and the inner Bexar County suburbs. 726 arrived as an overlay in October 2017, so newer business lines often carry it. 830 wraps around the outside, from New Braunfels and Seguin to Boerne and out into Bandera and Atascosa counties. An 830 number usually means a smaller town and a smaller team.

We call from Nigeria, six hours ahead of San Antonio in summer and seven in winter. Our shift starts in the evening there, so your prospects hear from us during their workday, not after it.

Plant and warehouse people on the South Side and along I-35 answer best before the shift gets busy. Defense and cyber firms get pulled away around Alamo ACE in early December, so we call them in the weeks before. Many owners here switch between English and Spanish. Our calls are in English, and if a prospect prefers Spanish, we note it so your closer knows.

Local rules

San Antonio's peddler and canvasser license in City Code Chapter 16 covers retail sales door to door and in public places, not calls or emails to businesses. We found no City of San Antonio, Bexar County or New Braunfels rule on telephone solicitation. Texas law still applies, including Business & Commerce Code chapter 302, which SB 140 extended to text marketing from September 1, 2025.

Before Trifecta

Done before, for US companies

Before Trifecta, Sylvia made high-volume calls to US business owners, got past gatekeepers and hit daily and weekly booking targets, which is how you reach owner-run firms from Seguin to the South Side.

Calling US business owners for a services firm

Sylvia worked the phones for a US services firm, calling business owners and decision makers directly. The job was to get past the front desk, introduce the service, qualify interest and book the appointment for the sales team, while logging every outcome and follow-up. She consistently hit daily and weekly booking targets.

Questions

Questions from San Antonio teams

Are you based in San Antonio?

No. Our three partners work from Lagos, Abuja and Enugu in Nigeria, and we call San Antonio during the Central workday. If a prospect asks, we tell them. You and your team run the meetings we book.

Can you get us into Joint Base San Antonio or the big defense contractors?

Base purchasing runs through federal contracting, so we will not promise you a seat at that table. What we can do is reach the subcontractors, suppliers and service firms around Port San Antonio and JBSA, who buy from vendors like you. We ask whether they hold a contract before we book.

Buyers here stay loyal to their vendors. Is outbound worth it?

Loyalty is real in San Antonio, which is why one call rarely works. We plan several touches by phone and email and watch for the moment that opens the door: a renewal, a new site, a new manager. When it comes, you are the name they remember.

Do you cover New Braunfels and the 830 towns?

Yes. New Braunfels, Schertz, Cibolo, Seguin and Boerne go on the list if your buyers are there. Those lists are smaller, so we usually run them next to a Bexar County segment.

How does the cost compare to hiring a local SDR?

BLS puts the median services sales rep in this metro at $50,610 a year, before benefits, a dialer, data and your time managing them. Our team works from Nigeria, which keeps our fee lower than a local hire. We quote after the discovery call.

Does San Antonio's peddler license apply to phone outreach?

No. That license, in City Code Chapter 16, covers retail sales door to door and in public places. Calls and emails to businesses fall outside it. Texas state law on telephone solicitation still applies, and we run every campaign to it. Have counsel review your own offer.
